Scripture Reading:
Proverbs 16
Psalm 37:23–24
“The steps of a man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.”
— Psalm 37:23
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you look too far ahead.
You may know where you hope to be — spiritually, financially, or personally — but the distance between where you are and where you want to go can feel discouraging. When progress seems slow, it’s tempting to question whether you’re moving forward at all.
But Scripture reminds us that God rarely reveals the entire path at once.
Instead, He orders our steps.
Not leaps.
Not perfect plans.
Not instant clarity.
Steps.
Each one matters. Each one is purposeful. And each one is guided by a God who sees far beyond what you can see today.
Psalm 37 tells us that the Lord delights in the way of those who trust Him. Even when the path feels uncertain, even when you stumble, He does not abandon you. He steadies you. He teaches you. He continues leading you forward.
This is true in your faith — and it’s true in every area of life where you’re trying to grow, build, or change direction.
You don’t need to have everything figured out today.
You only need to take the next faithful step.
Trust that God is ordering your path — one step at a time — and that slow progress in the right direction is still progress.
Closing Prayer
Father, thank You for walking with me step by step.
When I feel overwhelmed or uncertain, help me trust that You are guiding my path.
Teach me to focus on obedience today, not fear about tomorrow.
Order my steps, Lord, and give me peace as I walk with You.
Amen.
